In London, on December 4th, took place for the 5th time the Award ceremony of the International Tunnelling Awards organized by NCE and endorsed by ITA.

Soren Eskesen, ITA President, emphasized the fact that the tunnelling industry needs to demonstrate the use of the underground space and the skills of all tunnelling professionals.

May be more than for other civil engineering works it is important to show to the public and to the decision makers that the whole tunnelling community is making progress in developping products and machines for designing and constructing better and more sustainable tunnels and underground facilities.
