Less than 2 weeks to go before the winners of the 2016 ITA Tunnelling Awards are revealed. On 10th & 11th of November, the breath-taking Marina Bay Sands hotel and conference center will host the ITA Tunnelling Awards 2016, a prestigious international competition that  gathered 113 candidacies from all over the world. 

As Singapore is one of the most densely populated global city in the world, and one of the most innovative regarding urban management policies and use of underground space, this 2016 edition will be resolutely committed to back up the Tunnelling Industry as an innovative answer for urban expansion.

With 6 shortlisted projects in the competition, Singapore keeps its pioneer spirit and proves that the city is a meaningful location to be the host for such an event.

·       Singapore Power Cross-Island Cable Tunnel Projectin the category “Major Project of the Year over €500M”

·       Downtown Line Stage 3 Contract 937 Construction of Fort Canning Station and Tunnels in Singaporein the category “Tunnelling Project of the Year between €50M and €500M”

·       ION Orchard Link - Upgrading of Underground Link between Orchard MRT and Tang Plaza in the category “Renovation/Upgrading Project of the Year”

·       Jurong Rock Caverns in the category “Innovative Use of Underground Space”

·       Oh Jinnie and Senthilnath G.T in the category “Young Tunneller of the Year”
