Continuation of ITACET Lunchtime lecture series

The series, which is co-organised by the ITACET Foundation, the ITA-CET Committee and ITA, works with ITA working groups and committees to present the current work and experience of the best engineers in the field.

In recent months, sessions 7 and 8 have taken place. The seventh episode of the Lunchtime lecture series on Tunnel Refurbishment organised in collaboration with ITA WG6, took place on Tuesday 21st September within the scope of the Tunnelling Week. This Eighth instalment of the Lunchtime Lecture series focused on 'Structural use of Permanent fibre Sprayed Concrete linings' gathered more than 150 attendees.

This ninth instalment of the Lunchtime Lecture series which will take place on  Tuesday 9 November will focus on Specificity and Challenges of long tunnels at great depth and is organised in coordination with WG17. It will begin at 13:00 CEST time.

This episode will feature 3 lectures:

  • Long and deep tunnels : why are they so specific ?  – Magali SCHIVRE      - Animator of ITA WG17   - INCAS Partners   - FRANCE
  • TBMs design & mitigations measures for long & deep tunnels - Brad GROTHEN     -  ROBBINS  - USA
  • Logistics challenges regarding long & deep tunnels – Alejandro SANZ   -    GRAVITY Engineering Dragados  - SPAIN

As usal, the session will finish with a Q&A with all speakers.
