The World Tunnel Congress 2023 will be held in 4 months in Athens, Greece.
The theme of WTC2023 “EXPANDING UNDERGROUND”, will focus on the Knowledge and Passion that our industry offers to Make a Positive Impact on the World.
More than 400 papers have been accepted and are being finalised to build the final program.
The program of the WTC2023 will start with the training course of ITACET from Friday 12 May 2023 through 13 May 2023 under the theme  "Risk Management and Sustainable Underground Engineering”.
Among the keynote lectures that will be presented during the Opening ceremony will be the MuirWood lecture, presented this year by Marc Panet (France) on "The behavior of tunnels at the face of excavation in difficult ground conditions" and a keynote on "Seismic design and risk assessment of tunnels and underground structures" by Professor Kyriazis Pitilakis.

Tuesday, May 16, part 2 of the ITA Open sessions will focus on “Underground infrastructures to strengthen resilience and reduce vulnerability to climate change ”.
