The city of Sao Paulo in Brazil hosted a two-day training session on conventional tunnelling on the 28th-29th November 2014.

For this training session the ITA-CET Committee, in collaboration with the Brazilian Tunnelling Committee,  established a programme providing the main principles of conventional tunnelling as well as useful case studies.

Specific topics such as site investigation, design, construction, monitoring, contractual aspects and management were dealt with.

The ITACET Foundation organized this successful training session, which attracted more than 160 attendees.
