On International Women’s Day, 31 March 2022, the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISOCARP) celebrated its international women members and network of Women in Planning worldwide. One of the speakers at this Cyber Agora was Antonia Cornaro, urban planner and ITACUS co-chair. Planning is key to effecting real progress toward global sustainable development goals and addressing the climate crisis, and a New Planning Agenda will depend on gender equity in our profession and Planners who are representative of the communities they serve. ISOCARP has been focused on building a network of Women in Planning and engaging in gender equality and women’s leadership, with inaugural World Planning Congress events and a Cyber Agora on Women in Planning in 2021. More on this Cyber Agora including a link to the event recording can be found here.
