Inaugurated by Singapore's Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Ms. Indranee Rajah, the 4-day conference featured keynotes from Urban Redevelopment Authority of Singapore (URA) Chief Planner Adele Tan, ITA President Arnold Dix, ACUUS President Dmitris Kaliampakos, to name a few.
Diverse panels and panellists — including ITACUS - the ITA Committee on Underground Space co-chair Antonia Cornaro, and steering board members Mahak Agrawal, Rosanne Verloop and Marilu Melo Zurita — shared their exemplary works, questioned the status quo, and highlighted ways forward.
Grateful to the local organising committee, particularly committee Chair Yingxin Zhou and TUCSS - Tunnelling and Underground Construction Society (Singapore) and the brilliant event team who ran the show with utmost efficiency behind the curtain at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
It was an honour for Mahak Agrawal to be felicitated with Young Scholar Award by ACUUS, co-chair a session and share key highlights from my work on 'embedding circularity and resource efficiency in underground data centres' co-authored with ITACUS co-chairs Antonia Cornaro and Han Admiraal, and published with UN Environment Programme.
