ITAtech now promotes an active cooperation with ITA Working Groups in particular providing the ITA representative for the CEN standardization work and in Working Group 12 for Permanent Sprayed Concrete.

A brief review by the TBM manufacturing showed that the ITAtech documents are widely used in some regions and completely unknown in others. This should be addressed in the ongoing discussions about how to promote the good work of the past and motivate engagement in the future.

Following the physical meeting at the WTC 2018 we have held 4 web meetings. This year two AG’s will publish reports at WTC 2019. These will be on Controlled Vibrations in Drill and Blast tunnelling and a Guideline of best practice for Rebuilt TBMs. 

The next physical meeting is at WTC2020 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
