Urban Underground Space workshop – Malmö University – 21 October 2019

28 September 2019

An exciting and inspiring workshop will be held at Malmö University on Monday 21 October 2019. This workshop builds momentum to take the discussion to a next level and formulate question(s) about policy, governance, public engagement and investment, that will further our thinking when it comes to the integration of urban underground spaces into planning practices. Leading thinkers of the International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association Committee on Underground Space (ITACUS), academics, policy makers and industry experts, will engage in topics such as critical urban infrastructure, the right to the city and the role of (subterranean) urban commons.

Dr Marilu Melo, ITACUS Activity Group Leader on Urban Integration and Loretta von der Tann will lead the workshop. They will be joined by Per Tengborg, ITACUS Activity Group Leader on Urban Resilience and ITACUS co-chair Antonia Cornaro. Please use this link to register before 15 October 2019.
