The Victorian Desalination Project The Victorian Desalination Project is being constructed near the town of Wonthaggi, in the South Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. Construction of marine works began in January 2010 and was completed in June 2011. The marine works consisted of 4.0 m internal diameter inlet and outlet tunnels, four marine risers and four tunnel to riser adit connections.
Northern Sewerage Project: Construction of the Northern Sewerage Project (one of the longest and most ambitious sewerage tunnelling projects in Australia) is nearing completion. The project involves the construction of 13 km of new sewer pipes ranging in diameter from 1.6 to 2.5 metres. Additionally, five major access shafts of up to 65 metres in depth and 13 metres in diameter.
Southern Seawater Desalination Plant: $42.0 Million 860m tunnel carried out by Zublin commenced in February 2009 and completed in Aprill 2011.
