With over 30 years of experience in the tunnel lining, FAMA has contributed to the construction of 101 tunnels for a total of 1,160 km.
In the installation of the lining and in the operating phase, it is necessary to ensure the hydraulic sealing of the structure for its safety, maintenance of its performance and durability. FAMA has been designing and manufacturing innovative sealing gaskets and connection systems that facilitate and ensure the correct installation of the tunnel lining.
It also offers a wide range of accessories to provide segment with a variety of functions and services. FAMA supports customers in the choice of products and gives ongoing assistance in the start-up phase of the construction site.
FAMA also conceives, sizes and designs manual and automated precast plants, thus becoming a unique technical reference for the entire tunnel lining project.
FAMA has always been committed to ensuring a high-quality standard of both product and service and has thus obtained the company certification ISO 9001:2015 and the Avis d'Experts issued by AFTES (French Association for tunnelling and underground space) which assesses the high sealing performance of its gaskets.
It is equipped with its own internal laboratory that allows it to perform the tests required by the EAD (European Assessment Document) specification to obtain the CE certification of its products.
FAMA has at early stage transformed its linear and extractive business models into regenerative circulars and has therefore welcomed in 2015 the sustainable development goals defined by the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations. It has also recently obtained the EPD certification (Environmental Product Declaration - Environmental Product Declaration), thus demonstrating how its products comply with minimum environmental criteria.
FAMA is currently engaged in an extensive program of upgrading and modernization of its plants, as well as their robotization, digitalization and automation, all processes at the base of Industry 4.0.
